This number doubles the number of projects for 2008. This revelation was made, February 5, by the Divisional Delegate of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development MINEPAT, Ngoketunjia, Denis Tamfu Tume, in a chat with The Post in Ndop.
According to the MINEPAT boss, the corresponding funds allocated for the realisation of the 88 projects amount to over FCFA 60 million. Assessing the level of realisation of 2008 projects, Tamfu said, "all projects were realized at 100 percent expect one that is currently going on and rated at about 85 percent."
This success story in the realisation of projects in the Division, the Delegate said, is thanks to the Follow-up Committee members that did their work well. According to the MINEPAT boss, Ngoketunjia Division that was created in 2000, needs many more projects in order for it to come up to the level of other Divisions.
While congratulating the elite and technical services of the Division for the part they played in getting the 88 projects for the year, Tamfu, however, urged them to double their lobbying power so that Ngoketunjia comes up to the standard of the other Divisions in the year ahead.
Tamfu disclosed that the 88 projects for 2009 were spread to almost all sectors, but notably amongst them were Health, Education, Agriculture and Energy and Water. Tamfu cited the construction of classrooms, supply of benches, and equipment of delegations and offices.
He also cited the electrification of palaces and some establishments, extension and renovation of water systems, subvention to farming groups, amongst others. To ensure the realisation of the projects, Tamfu said his delegation will support the actions of all stakeholders of the Division and organise capacity building forums.
