Cardinal Tumi Is In Good Health

The Post learnt from competent sources that some two weeks back, the Cardinal suffered from an inflamed right toe and was admitted at the Polyclinique Bonanjo, Douala, where doctors incised it and had him placed on routine treatment.

According to our sources, the medics were marveled by the rapidity with which the Man of God responded to treatment and had him discharged shortly afterwards. Following further medical advice, Tumi headed for the Notre Damme de la Nations Catholic Hospital in Logpom, Douala, where, as at last weekend, he was convalescing.

The Post was told that whereas visitors were restricted from seeing him at the Polyclinique, access to the Cardinal at the Catholic hospital was almost unrestricted and that he received, ate with and held lengthy conversations and even bantered with his guests and other well wishers. The Cardinal is expected to take his annual leave in the coming days, which he expects to spend with his mother in his Kikaikilaiki village in Bui Division of the Northwest Region.
