He takes over from Bodylawson Tetewi, who has served the CBC for close to three decades in various capacities. Presiding at the installation ceremony, the National Secretary of Protestant Private Education, Rev. Henry Fomusoh, thanked the outgoing Education Secretary for achieving much all these years, and wished him well as he retires.

He urged the new CBC Boss, Luma, to continue from where his predecessor ended. “I know what Paul Luma Haddison is capable of doing and we are happy with the support the CBC has been giving us,” he remarked. He said though he is a Presbyterian, they share a lot in common with the CBC “because like Catholics, we do not want to train clever thieves. Our Children must be trained on God’s words”.

Describing the task handed to him as challenging, Paul Luma said just coming in from his former post as Principal of Saker Baptist College, he is going to battle with 36 nursery, 98 primary, 12 colleges and one teacher training college. As such, he called on Christians to lend him their support. While thanking those who helped him to succeed as CBC Education Boss, Tetewi assured Christians that Luma will be up to the task, reasons why they must give Luma the same support they gave him.

During the first part of the event which started with a church service, the Rev. David Ambola, in a message called on church leaders not to be egoistic, self-centered dictators who suppress others and humiliate God’s children. Drawing inspiration from the Bible, he said educationists should seek to finish well what they have been assigned to do in the fear of the Lord.
