By Peter Adi Fonte

The Cameroon Baptist Convention Private Training School for Health Personnel, PTSHP Banso, Bui Division, graduated 65 trainees recently. The graduates are made up of five nurse anesthetists, 50 nursing assistants and ten x-ray assistants.

The Senior Divisional Officer for Bui, Bernard Ndode Mesape, in his speech at the occasion, hailed what he termed the invaluable contributions of the CBC Health Board to bring health to the welfare of the population.

Ndode Mesape, while calling on the graduates to face their new challenge with determination, hope and devotion, said the graduates are the only instrument through which God can bring healing to the sick. The Principal of PTSHP Banso, Mme Margaret Ngwayu Bih, credited the energetic and zealous staff of the institution for the 100 percent pass in the final year examination. She said the school started in 1955 and graduated the first batch of two midwives in 1957.

The Administrators of the Baptist Hospitals Mbingo and Muntengene, Messrs Samuel Wirba, and Joseph Ngam told the graduates to render quality services to the population. The Labour and Social Security Delegate for Bui, Samson Tafu Shei, for his part, implored the graduates to love their job and work devotedly for the population. He advised them to maintain professional secrets and norms of their profession.
