Coach Saturin Njofack’s Best Stars will look to defend their title at the finals of the Southwest Mini Interpools on Sunday, November 8 as they slug it out with the tournament’s giant killers Continental FC of Buea.

Continental FC of Buea stunned one of the tournament’s favourites EEMSA of Tiko 1-0 while Best Stars Academy of Limbe aka The Stars dimmed Botafogo AFC of Buea 2-1 in a thrilling last four encounter on Thursday, November 29, 2015.

The finals are slated to hold at the Limbe Centenary Stadium.

Before working their way to the finals, Best Stars Academy had earlier demolished one of the tournament favourites University of Buea FC 4-2. Meanwhile, giant killers, Continental FC of Buea stunned Victoria United aka OPOPO after post match penalties.

Best Stars Academy will be vying for their third ticket to represent the Southwest Region after previously appearing in the last two National Interpools tournament as the region’s representative but failing to pick a ticket for qualification into League 2.

For Continental FC, the Buea team that was considered a wet nose in the tournament surprised pundits by eliminating the giants. They will be looking forward to continue in their superlative form of beating big names in the region’s football as they face yet another giant in the Southwest Regional Football League.
