CWA Denounces Abortion, Lesbianism

By Adi Fonte

CameroonPostline.com — Members of the Catholic Women Association, CWA, of the Diocese of Kumbo recently staged a sensitisation march pass  denouncing vices such as; abortion, homosexuality, lesbianism, incest, sexual abuse of minors and the use of contraceptives, which they said is destroying humanity.

The sensitisation march pass is coming at a backdrop of a pastoral letter issued against these vices by the Episcopal Bishops of Cameroon, at the end of their conclave in Sangmalima.
The women who were drawn from Shisong, Kumbo, Mbveh and Meluf that make up the four divisions of Kumbo Diocese converged at the office of the Senior Divisional Officer for Kumbo.

Tabling their grievances to the SDO, the CWA president of Kumbo Diocese, Christaincia Banadzem, said their march pass was not to disturb public peace and order, but to speak out against ills which are negatively affecting human life. “As mothers of the church, we want to say ‘No’ to these strange practices that are destroying our society,” she said.

“Our main reason for this demonstration was to pass across this message to everyone, to live strictly on the teachings of the church on human life. We will defend, protect, promote and respect human life, which begins from the moment of conception until natural death,” she stated.

For his part, the Senior Divisional Officer for Bui, Theophile Nzeki thanked the women for coming to express their worries and preoccupations to the administration. He promised to forward their preoccupations to his immediate boss for appropriate solutions to be sort CWA Denounces Abortion, Lesbianism
