Adopted Son Kills, Buries Father

Elements of the Central Police Station No.4 in Douala have arrested a young man who killed his adopted father and buried him at the Bonendale neighbourhood in Bonaberi.
The suspect murderer, 28-year-old Durand Azer Fouoyem, and his two accomplices, were recently nabbed by the police.

The macabre incident took place on June 29, 2015. According to reports, the victim, Marcel Fongang took his adopted son, Durand Azer Fouoyem, for a ride inside his Mercedes car with plate number LT-216-EM.

The suspected murderer had already concocted a plan with two of his friends, Michel Gervice Tankou 28, a custom broker and a 43-year-old businessman, Nsangou Moussa, to eliminate his stepfather, so that he could inherit his property.

Fongang was strangled inside his car and hurriedly buried on a piece of land, allegedly owned by Azer at the Bonendale neighbourhood, Bonaberi.

The wife of Fongang reported the horrific incident to the Central Police Station No.4 in Logbessou. Led by Senior Superintendent of Police, Herve Marie Ondoua Ongono, the police officers arrested Azer and the two other suspects Tankou and Nsangou.

After interrogation, the trio formally admitted their crime and led a team of investigators, administrative, judicial and medical authorities to the crime scene at Bonendale on July 3, where the corpse was exhumed. The three suspects were handed over to the judicial authorities in Douala to face the law.

ESIR Intercepts 250 Litres Of Contraband Fuel

Elements of the Rapid Intervention Brigade, ESIR, in collaboration with the Operational Sector of the Territorial Intelligence, have arrested some illicit fuel dealers with 250 litres of contraband fuel.

The fuel merchants and their booty were intercepted at the Bepanda neighbourhood in Douala recently.
The contraband fuel was handed over to the Littoral Regional Delegate of Mines and Energy for quality control, while the suspects were taken to the Littoral Regional Division of the Judicial Police for further investigation.

GMI Nab Two Car Thieves

On their part, elements of the Mobile Intervention Regiment, GMI, have arrested two thieves who allegedly stole a Toyota Corolla car.

The two robbers, Thierry Tchapfang, 27, and Raymond Sapoudje, 50, were caught at the New Bell neighbourhood. At the time of their arrest, the vehicle was carrying a fake number plate AD-6960-B.

When Police visited the residences of the two suspects, they found other stolen items, including; a spare tyre, a bunch of eight vehicle keys, an access card into the Kondengui Maximum Security Prison, a box concerning 17 keys, two gaz bottles, a dagger, a TV remote control and two android phones.

The two suspects and the items were taken to the Littoral Judicial Police where investigations were opened, while the owner of the vehicle has been invited to come with the necessary documents to claim his car.

Cocaine Dealer Arrested At Douala Airport

Officials of the Special Police Station of the Douala International Airport have arrested a foreigner who had swallowed 11 capsules of cocaine.

The 27-year-old Pascal Chukwuemeka Okwuchukwu was arrested upon arrival from an Ethiopian Airline flight from Addis Ababa via Dar es Salaam.

Following instructions from the Commissioner of that Police Unit, Senior Superintendent of Police, Zakary Yaou Alhadj, the suspect was taken to the Douala Referral Hospital where anti-dotes for cocaine were administered on him.

He defecated 11 capsules of the illicit substance. Chukwuemeka was then taken to the Littoral Regional Judicial Police for further investigations.
