Ex-IMF boss protests being hounded for sex orgies with prostitutes “only” 12 times in 3 years

Dominique Strauss-Kahn is currently in the dock for “aggravated pimping”

Former French finance minister and disgraced ex-director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)  Dominique Strauss-Kahn has been at the centre of a series of sex scandals since he crashed from grace to grass in 2011 following accusations  he raped a maid, an African immigrant, in a New York hotel.

Those charges were eventually dropped and Strauss-Kahn later settled a civil suit by the hotel maid out of court. But after a series of other widely publicized accusations, including sexual assault and gang rape went nowhere, prosecutors have finally put the former French presidential hopeful in the dock. Prosecutors accuse him of organizing parties in France and New York over the years, during which he and his friends had sex orgies with prostitutes. Formally, he is charged with “aggravated procuring” or pimping, which simply means he helped procure prostitutes for others to use. However, while admitting to attending those parties in a testimony at his trial on Tuesday, Strauss-Kahn took exception to the prosecution’s characterization of his actions, reports BBC. He was surprised that the prosecution considered these parties frequent, when, according to him, there were only 12 in three years. Strauss-Kahn faces 10 years in jail if found guilty.
