WICUDA Links All Branches To Ensure Competence

By Nestor Njodzefe*

Members of the Wimbum Cultural and Development Association, WICUDA, have resolved to link all the Association’s branches to a central unit, in order that its objectives are better realised.

This was disclosed during a ceremony recently in Yaounde to change Wimbum Development Association, WIDA, to Wimbum Cultural and Development Association, WICUDA. Speaking during the ceremony, the interim National President of WICUDA, Emmanuel Ngafeeson Bantar, said the association had existed for many decades with no branch having a link with the other. He said the objective of linking up the branches is to ensure that the objectives of the organisation be properly monitored and measured and to ensure that the Association functions well.

He lauded the initiative of those who initiated WIDA and all Wimbum sons and daughters for reshaping the association. Ngafeeson observed that the Wimbum people of Donga and Mantung are the largest in the Division with a linguistic identity that constitute part of their strength. He called on all its sons and daughters to contribute for their "new found baby" WICUDA.

Ngafeeson advised his kinsmen to stay neutral in the ongoing wrangling in the Ndu and Nkambe, While regretting the demise of their lone monetary institution, NASCOS, he advised the WICUDA team to chart a frame work for a new financial institution. All WICUDA Presidents and executives from 38 branches nationwide resolved that the association would meet in Nkambe, Divisional Head Quarters of Donga Mantung on December 29, 2009.
